Apple TV Subscription in Nigeria: Price, Supported Devices and What You Get

Apple TV is now officially available in Nigeria, but not as a standalone subscription. Since September 2026, Apple TV comes bundled with iCloud+, which starts at ₦1,300 a month for 50GB of storage and also includes Apple Arcade and Apple Music Select. You can watch on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android, smart TVs and in a web browser.

This guide uses Apple's September 2026 Nigerian launch details as reported by BusinessDay, TechCabal and Pulse, reviewed in October 2026. Check the iCloud+ price on your own device before subscribing.

First, which "Apple TV" do you mean?

Apple uses the same name for three different things:

How much is Apple TV in Nigeria?

Apple TV is included at no extra cost in iCloud+ plans, starting at ₦1,300 a month for 50GB. Higher iCloud+ storage tiers cost more and include the same entertainment benefits. Apple stopped selling standalone Apple TV and Apple Arcade subscriptions in Nigeria; people who already had them keep access through iCloud+ and their old subscriptions are cancelled.

Twelve months at ₦1,300 comes to ₦15,600, if the price stays the same.

What the ₦1,300 iCloud+ bundle includes

Supported devices

iPhone, iPad and Mac

The Apple TV app is built in. Subscribe to iCloud+ in Settings > your name > iCloud > Upgrade, then open the TV app.

Android phones and tablets

Install the official Apple TV app from Google Play and sign in with your Apple Account. You can watch Apple TV, but Apple Arcade is not available on Android, and iCloud storage is mainly useful on Apple devices.

Smart TVs and streaming devices

The Apple TV app runs on many Samsung, LG and Sony smart TVs, Android TV and Google TV devices, Roku, Fire TV sticks and game consoles. Search for "Apple TV" in your TV's app store. You can also use AirPlay from an iPhone.

Web browser

Sign in at tv.apple.com on a computer to watch without installing anything.

Is it worth it?

For iPhone users, the bundle is strong value: you get storage you would likely pay for anyway, plus Apple TV and Arcade. For Android users, the value depends on whether you want Apple Originals. You would be paying ₦1,300 mostly for Apple TV, with storage you may not use.

Apple TV's catalogue is smaller than Netflix's and focused on originals, with little Nollywood or African content. Many people treat it as a second service alongside Netflix or Prime Video. Compare with our Netflix price guide and Prime Video price guide.

Free trial

Apple has historically offered free trials of Apple TV with new Apple devices and through promotions. Whether a trial applies to iCloud+ in Nigeria depends on your account and current offers. Check the subscription screen; any trial renews into a paid plan unless cancelled.

How to pay

iCloud+ is billed through your Apple Account using a Nigerian debit or credit card that works for App Store purchases, or Apple Account balance. If your card fails, check its international or online limit. Our guide to Nigerian card problems with subscriptions covers the usual fixes.

How to cancel

On iPhone, go to Settings > your name > Subscriptions, or downgrade iCloud storage in Settings > your name > iCloud. Downgrading below iCloud+ removes Apple TV access at the end of the billing period. Make sure your photos and backups fit within the free 5GB before you downgrade.

Common questions

Can I still buy Apple TV on its own in Nigeria?

No. Apple TV now comes through iCloud+ in Nigeria.

Do I need an Apple TV box?

No. The service works in the Apple TV app on phones, computers, smart TVs and streaming sticks.

Can my family watch too?

Yes, if you share iCloud+ through Family Sharing with up to five family members.

Does Apple TV include sports?

Apple's sports offerings vary by country. Check the app for what is available in Nigeria rather than assuming US sports packages apply.

Summary

In Nigeria, Apple TV comes with iCloud+ from ₦1,300 a month, alongside 50GB storage, Apple Arcade and Apple Music Select. It is excellent value for iPhone users and a reasonable add-on for Android users who want Apple Originals. Confirm the price on your device and remember that cancelling means downgrading iCloud+.
